The QuitNow & WIN Campaign was developed in partnership with multiple organizations—most notably the British Columbia Lung Association, Context Research Ltd and Hot Tomali Communications Inc. The purpose of the program was to provide an interactive platform and incentive to people that want to quit smoking.
The focal point of the campaign was the website www.quitnowandwin.com. Visitors registered for the contest through the website and could send an email to friends who might be interested. Visitors could also share and read real quit smoking stories, use a quit smoking calculator, and read tips on quitting.
By using a variety of online marketing initiatives to drive awareness around the site, including search engine optimization and online community building, the campaign acquired 7,150 entrants – far exceeding campaign objectives.
